Reggae & Hip Hop!!!

Big Reggae & Hip Hop update today including a brand new LP only available at Record Mania!

We recently acquired a small but nice reggae collection some of which are listed today. Lots of Studio One 45s plus Lloyd & Devon's killer "Push Push" 12" and originals of Upsetters "Return Of The Super Ape", Dadawah "Peace And Love", Al Campbell "Showcase" and more!

A big pile of across the board Hip Hop (LPs and 12"s) but most importantly we are very proud to present the new LP by the hardest working man in Swedish Hip Hop Mr. Rikard Skizz Bizzi! "IV: Legenden Om Urban" is soulful rap music with a G-funk vibe that's only for sale at Record Mania! Click the pic below for more info and to order:

Soul 45s and LPs!

Morning all,

60s and 70s soul special this time, LPs and 45s, featuring a bigger dose than normal of UK Tamla Motown and some Stateside releases, meaning we've had plenty of time to drool over those gorgeous glossy flipback covers! Two early Temptations releases, Marvin Gaye's "how sweet it is", early Stateside r&b comps, rare EPs from Contours and Supremes etc etc.

Of course not forgetting the US releases either - how about sealed originals of Chris Clark "Soul sounds", Bobby Jones "Talkin' 'bout Jones", Percy Sledge "Warm and tender soul" and Staple Singers "Amen", plus very nice copies of wanted LPs from Ascots (including the monster track "She's so indifferent"!) and Exciters, and not least a mono OG of the Tempests' northern gem "Would you believe".

European Jazz/Fusion/Funk Jazz

Fine Euro Jazz-update today and we're glad to offer some classic Swedish jazz rarities that we have not had for some time -  Lars Lystedt's "Jazz Under The Midnight Sun", Anthony Reebop Kwaku Bah's self-titles on Philips, Swedish Modern Jazz Group's "Sax Appeal", an unusually clean copy of "The Artistry of Lars Gullin" (very hard to find in clean condition) to mention a few.

From our neighbour countries Norway and Denmark comes Karin Krog's "By Myself" and Ib Glindemann's "Presenting" and from a bit down south in Germany comes Johnny Griffin's "Lady Heavy Bottom's Waltz" and Mark Murphy's "Midnight Man" plus a bunch of German modern jazz and fusion LPs, many of which we have not had before.

Today is also the release date of the new album by Svenska Kaputt (appropriately called "Suomi") which comes recommended if you want your jazz served dark with an edgy rock-leaning.

See all new arrivals at www.recordmania.se/news.php and have a look at all the additions from earlier this week too.

Next week we focus on 60s/70s Soul both LPs and 45s including some UK Tamla Motown originals in fine shape plus a bunch of sealed US originals.

Coming updates:

20/11: 60s/70s Soul LPs and 45s

Rock, Prog, Psych, Folk!

Extra interesting update here at Record Mania today (for some of us at least), with a pretty wide selection of Rock. Everything from classic stuff like Beatles, Stones and Pink Floyd - two close to perfect copies of Their Satanic Majesties Request (both US and UK), John & Yoko's Wedding Album, a UK original of Dark Side of the Moon, UK originals of Electric Ladyland and Axis: Bold as Love and more.

A nice batch of 45s, especially Swedish picture sleeve singles - Beatles, Who as well as rarer Psych and Rock.

Loads of interesting titles from Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia - Träd Gräs & Stenar, Harvester, Kjell Höglund, Samla Mammas Manna, Mecki Mark Men and the elusive Furekaaben out of Denmark to name just a few.

Quite a lot of nice Folk Rock too, with Dando Shaft from the UK and the Norwegian Folque to go to the top of the list.
