Back on track again for a European jazz update, plus a small but nice batch of hip hop LPs. Many titles deserve mentioning, but special honors must go to Bertil Strandberg's stunning "Cirrus" (top 3 Swedish jazz albums ever?) and Clarke Boland Sextett's "Music for the small hours" on original German press.
Hip hop fans can pick from classic albums by Gang Starr ("Moment of truth"), Eric B & Rakim ("Paid in full"), Dr Dre, Group Home, Jeru The Damaja, Ghostface Killah and Main Source, all on original US issue.
Next week sees a high-octane soul & funk update, expect some terrific 60s & 70s stuff, both LPs and 45s. We have been buying heavily over the past couple of months, and the piles of records waiting to be put out for sale are truly mouth-watering, both for quality and quantity. In other words, we look forward to finishing 2014 in fine style!
Check the pictures below for examples of the rarer stuff or see all of this week's new arrivals on our New In Stock-section.
